We had a taxi wait for us at 9:00 am , he took us to Boonsum Spirulina Farm. Where we meet Jiamjit Boonsom the founder, an 83 year old researcher that spent the last 40 years researching spirulina.

Jiamjit was kind enough to introduce us to an organic farmer who took us to an organic farm in the mountains.

Alon and I squished into his pickup for the hour drive up the mountain.

He first stopped at a local village, we drank coconut water and had fruits.

Then had vegetarian lunch eggs , boiled cabbage and rice, prepared on an open fire. (the farmer and his friends of course added the meat she had prepared).

When we arrived, the farm was giving a tour to the owner of the OHKAJHU farm to table restaurant chain, who had arrived from Bangkok to tour farms they get their produce from.
During the tour we spoke to some of the people from Bangkok (their English was very good), they were the marketing department who had come to learn how and from where the food served in the restaurant chain is grown.
The restaurant chain buys all the farms produce, the founder of this chain not only invests in organic farming but is involved in helping the rural farming community in general.

The farm is adjacent to a stream where we saw giant bamboo growing.

After a long day, we of course took a walk in the night market

End of day, in our new hotel frogs on the bed.
