At the ship’s port in Kanazawa, there was a warm welcoming group including women who had won pageants in previous years, dressed in traditional Japanese kimonos.

The train station where the ship’s shuttle bus dropped us off was very impressive, one of the most beautiful stations in Japan.

Walking around the city to explore.

We went to to see the beautiful Kenroku-en Garden, of and ruins of a the Kanazawa Castle and it’s surrounding park.

Lots of cherry trees in blossom – Sakura.

Everyone is taking pictures of themselves with the cherry blossoms.

Then we went to see a fish market, tasted some strange things, then again we found a small cafe and enjoyed a cup of tea and the atmosphere.

At the station there is a water clock

Just before the ship left the docks, there was a a far well ceremony on the docks, dancers, music and flag waving.
